A Quick Bite at UBurger

On Friday night, Bret and I were looking forward to a low-key date night.  We had plans to go to the movies at the Boston Common movie theater and we decided to grab a quick bite to eat before dinner.  Since we didn't have a lot of time, we decided to stop in at one of the new fast food restaurants that have opened up downtown and quickly settled on UBurger.

I've been to the UBurger at the Kenmore Square location but I've never been to the one downtown.  I was happy to find that this UBurger location was bright, clean and cheery inside.  On a rainy Friday night, the restaurant was busy with students and tourists who were all looking for a quick meal.

There are a lot of different burger options at UBurger and I quickly settled on the Big Papi burger.  This burger comes topped with sliced jalapeno pepper, guacamole, cheddar cheese and tomatoes.  It also comes with a smokey chipotle sauce, but I had that on the side.  I loved all of the bright flavors with this burger and was very happy with my selection!

Bret and I also split a side of fries.  The fries were thinly sliced and crispy.  UBurger doesn't offer any dipping sauces for their fries but we made up for it with ketchup!

The burger was definitely over-cooked for my liking but overall, it definitely hit the spot.  We felt pleasantly full without getting that rock in your stomach feeling that you often get when you eat fast food.  While I rarely eat any fast food, I would much rather eat at an establishment like UBurger than some national burger chain.

UBurger has three locations in Boston and we visited the Park Street location at 140 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.
