Atlantic Beer Garden

Happy 24th Birthday Leah and Ashley!!
The girls reserved a private section of the Atlantic Beer Garden for their birthday celebrations.
You can reserve a function space at the ABG for no charge and guests in your party will enjoy line privileges and food and drink service. Most (but not all) of our party arrived before the line got crazy. I wasn't in direct interaction with the bouncers but it seemed like they granted line privileges when approached by someone else in our party who was already inside and able to verify the person in question was legit. Hey bouncers can't trust just anyone these days!
At ABG is there is no cover charge and probably why everyone flocks here on Saturday night. That and the fact that they have a patio overlooking the water on the first floor and a spacious third floor roof deck with a pretty amazing view. (I wasn't up there last night, but can speak from past experience.)
First floor patio with a view of the Seaport World Trade Center.

Our waitress did a great job managing a number of tabs. She seemed to be present more often than not whenever any member of our party was in need of a refill or a round of shots. As evidenced by mine and Adam's tab below:
I started the evening with a Hoegaarden but realized shortly thereafter I didn't want to drink beer all night. One of the reasons being after I drank this beer I waited in line to pee for 15 minutes, maybe longer. The bathroom is a one room / no stalls kinda deal. I couldn't understand being a restaurant and bar as large as they are and packing in a crowd as large as they do, why the first floor only offered one toilet. I followed Adam's lead and we drank Rum & Coke's for the majority of the evening.
Sometime in between were Chocolate Cake shots and towards the end of the night were Bud and Miller Lights. In typical birthday fashion there was real cake....
Are you guys 24 or 42?
Garnish feeding
Friends
Dancing
Sunglasses at night wearing
and general birthday madness.
The night was a success. Plus we got to enjoy a scenic walk to the bar and a no-cab-shenanigans walk home.
My sisters birthday weekend ends just in time for Adam's birthday weekend to begin. I have much more celebrating to look forward to this week!
