I chose not to express the annoying details of what caused me 20 PTO (Paid Time Off) hours, multiple trips to the doctors office, and two separate rounds of antibiotics (the first prescription didn't work) on the blog. The good news is I've been on the mend ever since I started antibiotic number two on Wednesday evening.
A bouquet of flowers helped to cheer me up on Tuesday night. ;) Wednesday night I ate my favorite dish from Bombay Club - Mango Fried Rice with Chicken. (And loads of hot sauce.)
Bombay Club is Thai takeout located in Quincy Market. This is the only dish I ever order from them. It's loaded with Mango (obviously), scallions, cashews, peas & onions. Amazing combination.
There was a very Happy 33rd Birthday Celebration on Thursday.
It included Stump Bar Trivia at Coogan's and good times at Delux.
At Coogan's I managed to drink a couple $2 Long Trails and help (not really, I stink at trivia) my team to a second place victory which included a prize in the form of a $25 gift certificate! Coogan's is located in the Financial District and sure packs in a crowd for Thursday night trivia. It took for-ev-er to get a drink at the bar. Once we scored a table our waitress had some trouble keeping our beers straight. As in, she delivered 7 beers to the table but had no idea who ordered what and which type of beer was in which cup. "They got mixed up." She apologized. At Delux it's a bit of a different story. Not only do they keep drink orders straight, they know who will order what before they even order it. (Except sometimes I like to switch it up - no dirty martini this evening.) I drank vanilla vodka & pineapple juice and an unpictured round of Jen's delightfully strong and sweet vodka-grapefruit shots.
Birthday Boston Cream Doughnut!Delux salad special.

I've kindly spared the boys dignity and chose not post various other pictures. We have fun. You know this. Happy Birthday Adam!!
It was a successful Friday Summer Lunch Series today but I'm too tired to do another post at the moment. Tomorrow I'm headed to Rhode Island for Adam's Dad's side-of-the-family reunion. His Dad is one of 13 kids! I suspect I'll be meeting lots of long lost cousins and such. Be back!
