Flex Time

One of my favorite perks of working at my company is being able to participate in the "Summer Flex Hours" program. I'm still working a standard 40 hour week, but instead of being in the office for 5 / 8 hour days, I am working 4 / 10 hour days.
10 hour days are a funny thing. I have a number of friends who work 10 hour days on a regular basis (M-F), who would kill to have a set 3 day weekend! On the contrary, a whole lot of my co-workers chose not to participate in the program because they think 10 hours in the office is just too damn long. It is long. But at the same time, it's not. Waking up earlier is hard for about 1 minute, until you're up. And once I'm in the office, cup o coffee in hand, that first hour flies by. That last hour tacked onto the end of the day (for the most part) goes by unnoticed as well. If I'm immersed in a project, what's another hour? Getting home a little later just means less time to watch TV and dare I say it, less blogging? (Disclaimer: If I happen to slack on my weeknight posts please don't hold it against me. I just worked a 10 hour day and my writing skills might not be up to par.) When the week feels excruciatingly long and I just can't take it anymore....before I know it, it's over. Hump day is now my Thursday, and Thursday is now my Friday.
As I embrace my summer work schedule, so will the blog. Presenting: III Summer Lunch Series
Who: Me, Myself, and I.
What: See Above.
When: Fridays.
Where: Boston's finest Brunch and Lunch Establishments.
Why: Because I enjoy writing restaurant reviews.
How: My credit card.

Have you ever dined out alone? Care to share your thoughts and feelings?
I have dined out by myself on a few occasions. I'm ok with it. It's kind of liberating and usually pretty fun. I'm sure at times I will be slightly nervous to request a "table for one." But I'm also looking forward to it.

Local Readers/Out of towners who have visited: Any weekday lunch spots within Boston city limits you would recommend?!
While I have a few places in mind (and I know exactly where I'm headed tomorrow) I welcome suggestions for upcoming weeks.
