Boston Bloggers, it was fabulous to see & meet you the other night at Ginger Park. You are such a wonderful group of people and I just love being a part of this community!
Ginger Park is located at 1357 Washington Street in the South End.
Formerly the restaurant Banq and formerly an actual Bank, the interior is uniquely stunning.
It is like dining in a cave, but a wooden cave with free flowing curvy panels and soft lighting.
I was a little burnt out after a busy day at work and from my previous late night at the
Citizen Cope concert, so I reluctantly steered clear of the cocktail menu. I started with a non-alcoholic Asian inspired ice tea that was equally tart and bitter, a
Lemon Ginger Tisane ($4). 
Passed appetizers included Pork Potstickers with Carrot Ketchup (unpictured) but delish!
Chicken Dumplings (above), and a beef noodle dish (below) served in a traditional Chinese food take-out box complete with chopsticks.
Mingling, drinking tea, eating some appetizers - at this point, I was ready for an alcoholic beverage.
Ginger Park boasts an impressive Sake menu.
I chose a glass of the
Hitori Musume Sayaka "Only One Daughter" Junmai sake ($6).
The tiny glass sparked intrigue and conversation, as many were curious as to what I was sipping on.
My second and final drink of the evening was a boring old
Amstel Light ($5). They only serve bottled beer and the selection is unimpressive. I was hoping for a Kirin, a Sapporo, a Tsing Tao - any sort of Asian brand would have worked to win my good graces in the beer department.

Jenny Fraizer for hosting what was actually the fourth annual Boston Blogtoberfest. (However, my first!) I look forward to this as an annual event. What a great way to put
names to faces,
network, and
catch up with those you already know.
