Travel Day: Logan to PBI

I love to travel. But I'm not talking about vacation (yet) I'm speaking on the act of traveling, the process of getting there, the airport scene, the airplane ride. I love that stuff. The last flight I took out of Logan International Airport was to Denver, Colorado back in April with my college girlfriends. This time around I was headed to Palm Beach International with Adam, where my maternal grandparents (Nanny & Grampy) live in Lantana, Florida. We flew Southwest and had a layover in Philadelphia. The first flight was announced to take off 45 minutes late, but ended up taking off on time, and the second flight was deemed on-time but we were about 20 minutes late on arrival. The flight from Boston to Philly had literally 20 other passengers on it. I've never been on such an empty flight. We took full advantage. The flight from Philly to Palm Beach was full. Southwest Airlines:
Pro: No checked bag fees.
Con: No assigned seats.
I never experienced this style of airplane seating. I know some people love it, but honestly, I found it a nuisance. Adam and I were last in the boarding order - which means middle seats and not next to each other, not even near each other! I think it takes longer too, since it gives people options and time to think about it, thus prolonging the boarding process.

Capitan & Coke. (x2) (middle seat = awkward photo times)
In the shots above we are touching down in Philly. Overall our time in the air was enjoyable. The fight attendants were pleasant and the seats spacious and comfy. Even with the layover, getting to Florida is a breeze. You also don't have to deal with any time zone changes or jet lag as a result.
I was impressed by the large leather seats at the gates. Rather luxurious if you ask me. Pictured in Philly.
I'm thinking about going into advertising for Southwest. haha kidding. Pictures taking passes the time in the air. I am currently relaxing on Nanny & Grampy's couch after a long day exploring Lake Okeechobee and a previous long night of drinking with the cousins. We're having a blast so far. More pictures not including any more wings of a Boeing 757 to come!
