We're moving.
But how nice would that be?! This recurring conversation comes up I'd say ohhh on average once every couple months whenever Adam and I are sitting in the cafeteria eating lunch at the Schrafft's Center (our building of employment) venting to each other about work. We actually like our jobs. And where we live. But we also like the idea ever since we traveled to Greece in 2007, of packing up shop and moving here:
Whitewashed houses on cliffs and black sand beaches don't get old.Our lunch conversations go a little something like....
Everyone speaks English there anyways.
But we'd also pick up Greek really quickly if we lived there...
Adam: "I could get a job as a fisherman!"
Daisy: "Maybe I could be a tour guide?"
We could live in a cute little apartment in the side of a cliff. (Prime real estate, didn't ya know?)
As you can see we've got it all figured out. Santorini is magical. I would give my left pinky toe to watch these sunsets on a regular basis.Everyone speaks English there anyways.

The conversation came up today because (in addition to filling each other in on the latest work drama) we were talking about how Greece's economy isn't doing so hot. We'd move anyways. Greeks rock.
Or we'll keep dreamin' at the lunch table.
After work we popped into Newbury Comics where I purchased a rad pair of bright yellow shades and some sparkly nail polish. Then we had dinner in Quincy Market. It's fun every once in awhile. We sit in the rotunda so as to separate ourselves from the mob scene down below.
So it's tourist central. And it's overpriced. But it's historic and charming and an easy dinner option. Easy once you decide what to eat that is. Sushi? Indian? Thai? Those are my main three go-to meals. But you've got Chinese, Italian, Mexican, subs, wraps, corn dogs, mac-n-cheese, clam chowder, plenty of other seafood, pizza.....oh it's just about the most delightful food court you could imagine. Most locals would beg to differ, but I appreciate it for a meal every now and then!
I ended up choosing Ueno Sushi because I had no cash and Bangkok Express and Bombay Club are cash only.
To drink I got a Jasmine Green Bubble Tea with tapioca pearls.
Look at all that foamy goodness. And those colorful pearls.
Sorry - more iPhone pictures tonight as spontaneous right-after-work outings don't often find my camera handy. To eat I got the Cali Combo.
You get a Miso Soup (piping hot), a side of white rice, a salad of crisp lettuce and cucumbers, a 6 piece California maki roll and 4 pieces of Nigri Sushi.
I'm not exactly sure the salad dressing, but it tastes like a creamy peanut sauce. This plus the Bubble Tea cost me $15.
Adam got a Lo-Mein dish with some sort of meat and veggie side and a fountain coke at Jen Lai Rice & Noodle Co. for about $9. At the dinner table this evening, we were a little more practical. Meaning we didn't talk about running off to an island in the middle of the Aegean Sea or anything crazy.
Ahem, where was I. You better believe there is a host of dessert options at Quincy Market, too.
